Desert Canyon, previously known as Fountain Hills Golf Club, opened in 1971 and remains a hidden gem. Desert Canyon Golf Club’s eighteen hole championship course is one of Arizona’s top golfing facilities. It features raised tees coupled with a variety of elevation changes. At the 19th hole, located in the clubhouse is the DC Bar & Grill with its golf lounge, where members and guests can relax before and after golf and enjoy magnificent mountain views. DC Bar & Grill is well known for fabulous Sunday brunches and an outstanding lunch menu. Desert Canyon Golf Club offers a full service practice facility that includes two chipping and putting, a driving range and a practice bunker. Fairways, though exposed, play tight and prove challenging with strategically placed doglegs. The charming rolling fairways play through a stunning upscale mountainside suburban community, with palms and native trees plus landscaped desert brush in view. The golf course plays to a background of an immaculate sky and views of some of Arizona’s most gorgeous scenic mountains. The Golf Course was designed by John Allen and Karl G. Boettcher manages the course as General Manager.
