The Desert Trails Golf Course in Sun City West, Arizona is a private and executive golf course. The golf course opened in 1995 which makes it one of the newest courses in this area. This course designed by Billy Casper measures slightly over 4000 yards from the longest tees and comes with a 91 slope rating and a USGA rating of 61. The 18-hole course features three tees sets in each hole.

The desert trail golf course is one of the 7 golf course managed by the Sun City West Golf Community. The community includes about 17, 000 homes and close to 30,000 residents. The community though friendly to guest and golf players is age restricted and any one under the age of 19 is not allowed permanent residency here. Also at least one member in every household must be 55 years of age.

If you want to play on this course all you have to do is make your reservations on time. Though the course is private it is open to the public and you can get a chance to play on the course as long as you make your bookings from 4 days in advance. The course is open to the public 7 days a week all year round. Guests are also welcome here and there are no strict rules on dress code.

The golf course has a resident pro so you can get help when it comes to choosing the right equipment or get any issue or question related to golf answered accordingly. Rental clubs are available at a reasonable fee. Driving range and also rental carts are available so you do not have to walk to all holes if you are looking forward to an easy and relaxed game. The price range here is between $45-55 on weekdays and weekends. There are special rates offered during some times on the year and also to those registered at the pro houses. Players do not have to worry about carrying cash as credit cards are accepted here.
