Located in the North Scottsdale, Terravita Golf club is a private, member-owned club located on the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Carefree Highway. The club opened in 1998 and in 2007 it had undergone major improvements to the bunkers, irrigation system as well as pump station making the course one of the more enjoyable ones to play. It has been designed with the intent to emphasize and make available spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges like the Boulders or the Black Mountain. The golf course consists of five sets of tees ranging from 5,286 yards to 7,075 yards. Selected black tees are designed for experienced “scratch golfers” while others are intended for women and seniors.
The Terravita Golf Club was designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. With the best grass greens in North Scottsdale and expensive two-way driving range and two chipping sand and putting practice areas, the Club earned an impressive first place in Ranking Arizona-The Best of Arizona Business Magazine and had been listed in the top 10 private golf courses in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
